This is just my opinion, but I think the countdowns should do one of four things the week after the year end surveys. A.) Air a repeat of an earlier chart show from the previous year and have Casey doing voiceovers saying this is a "best of" or "AT40 archives" show B.) Air a repeat of a part two year end survey from the previous year with casey doing voice overs as stated above C.)Do some other created out of thin air special countdown(i.e. Top 40 songs by acts from Zimbabwe or something) D.) Use a chart that actually compiles a survey listing 52 weeks a year and start using the first weekend in January's chart IMMEDIATELY upon returning to the weekly survey.

This would prevent the blantantly obvious use of a survey from last year last weekend, followed by getting up to speed and using a current one this past weekend.
