Subject: Jazz and Blues Singer Nina Simone died at age 70.

Legendary jazz and blues singer Nina Simone, died at the age of 70 at her home in southern France from natural causes. She'll be greatly missed!

Simone, whose smoky, sometimes raw and sometimes sweet voice was known to millions, was born Eunice Waymon in 1933 in Tryon in the US state of North Carolina. She was best known for her interpretation of "My Baby Just Cares for Me," as well her only Top 40 hit in the United States of her entire career, "I Loves You Porgy," a George Gershwin song.
