Subject: Some 70s controversial songs that made the top 40
In reply to: Melvin E. Matthews, Jr. 's message, "Re: Controversial Songs on AT40" on 17:07:08 04/06/02 Sat

Here is a short list of some songs that many stations had a problem with that hit the top 40 in the 70s. Some, when they hit the top 40, had cue sheets from AT40 that they could edit or delete the song if they so desired

Superman-Herbie Mann
Judy Mae-Boomer Castleman
Only the Good Die Young-Billy Joel
The Killing Of Georgie-Rod Stewart
Love To Love You Baby-Donna Summer

Thankfully all the stations I ever listened to AT40 to never ever edited any songs or deleted them.

Christopher
