How about Bon Jovi's, "Never Say Goodbye", which never hit the top 40 back in 1987. It was all over the radio in Virginia during the spring (graduation) of that year.

A couple of weeks ago, a friend called me up and was all excited that he was hearing the song on the radio. I asked him why he was so excited about it. The answer: his stations in North Carolina had never played it before. Judging by its peak of 28 airplay on the charts, I guess it truly was played by some stations, and not played by others!
