Scott, I seem to recall with some my year-end shows from the late 70's and early 80's that there were cover letters from Tom Rounds or one of the other higher-ups on the show stating that it was OK for stations to play the show in 2 parts, and replay it a 2nd time during New Year's Eve/Day only during these special year-end shows. Outside of that, they were not to re-broadcast weekly shows outside of the current week.

Yet, do you recall what WNBC used to do in NYC? They would play AT40 Sunday morning, THEN replay the old week the following Saturday from 9-1 before replaying the new show the following day from 9-1.
