Actually, to partially disagree with Angel, it flows perfectly, until that last line. However, the jarring effect of it finishes off the piece all the better for it. Going from poetry to prose, imagry to cold harsh light, idealism to realism, you feel the contrast all the more deeply. It looks like you already reach for pen and paper, and a few beers drank at home with no where to go, won't hurt you. I think in fact they are requisite for melancholoy to set in... No wonder the poets of Paris went mad with absenthe.

Haven't we all been that person, the one at the party, or sometimes alone, nursing that feeling of sweet longing mixed with bitterness at the knowledge it will never be? I know that I have, and tonight, I do it too...
