You've got them in your palm
and they'll eat up every word.
In the absence of your dark wit I find...tomfoolery?
What of all this, is what you'd really like to say?
Wouldn't it be easier, more satisfying, more YOU...to be wrenching your heart?
To let that ebb and flow of dark passion overtake the keyboard and bury them alive.
To make the world quiver from the thoughts you surely are dumbing down.

Feeding...you're feeding and getting fat off their affection.
Being suckered into complacency by the panderings of the swimmers at the shallow end of the pool.
Swim deep.
Find the pearls that they won't reach before their hearts explode in fear.
Let them lust after the precious gift of soul diving,
Let them gleam jealously at the jewels you produce from the deep.
Don't hide the art, don't make it trendy to be who you are.
Don't play with the magic or think you can have it both ways...because you can't.
You'll one day reach to use it and find it has left you.
