Subject: One Thought

Please be gentle, it's been a while since i've written but both my fiance and I felt that it was about time i tried writing again to get some thoughts out of my head... so here goes..

One Thought

The fan rattles gently on the roof above
casting an added breeze on the cool night air
her most loyal companion sleeps close by her side
as she reflects on her thoughts she's unwilling to share

In another room, just down the hall, sits the man she loves
unaware of the thoughts going round in her mind
unconvinced of the depth of her love or if it really exists
for only she knows the extent of her love inside

One thought clouds her happiness close to destruction
one thought she knows within her heart is untrue
yet won't subside and stop playing with her mind
and is continuely clouding her point of view.

The man she loves, the father of her unborn child
so close to losing his patience, is drifting away
as she fights to control her always wandering thoughts
of his love being false and leaving her for someone else one day

Her mind plays games and her paranoira esculates
another night concludes in an arguement and tears
though, in her heart she trusts him not to do her wrong
on the surface, her mind plays on one of her greatest fears

And it breaks her heart to know the way she acts
but her stubborness won't admit that she is wrong
until it's almost to late and he's nearly out the door
each time he drifts further away, one day he'll be gone

She knows she has to control these destructive thoughts
somehow make them subside before it becomes too late
before she loses the man she loves so extremely deep
the man who was given to her by fate!
