i met a gal today
who honest-to-God believed
that she was better
than 98% of everyone
(the whole damn world,
you know)

[it isn't her fault.]

too damn many papers
and test results came in
that told her she was Genius
(and heads&shoulders above
the rest)

[arrogance isn't an attitude
it's a perception.]

&in the deepdown
she knows, she knows
she knows she's better than me
&i know, i know she's right
(but not as well as
she does)

[she looks down on pretty girls
if they're conceited]
