Subject: a "poem"

yet another "poem" of sorts . . .


Seek beauty, for beauty is the meaning of life. As though life were an eccentric and perverted art museum which, of course, it is. We pay our fee, we are permitted to observe, and occasionally the world sees it fit to acknowledge some artwork of ours. It goes in the newspaper, in the main gallery. We are all artists looking to one another for inspiration and guidance. We are all starving artists struggling equally to make just one painting that will hang in the world gallery, even if only for a short time. We all strive for beauty in some form, but art isn't always elaborate, expansive and intangible. Sometimes it's best to search for and create beauty in its most basic form--happiness.


I really want comments on this one. Does it follow well? Is it even worth saying? I'm not sure if it works for anyone other than me, or should be kept in the dark recesses of my notebook. The dark recesses of my notebook of doom. Sorry, dark recesses was just what came to mind and you can't just say "dark recesses" without at least commenting on it. Wow, I'm way too hyper, Matt, look what happens when we start talking!
