Matt, this is beautiful. I cried.
And it's not selfish to want to be happy. If every person concentrated on making themselves happy, I have a feeling the world would be happy. As it is so many people just focus on making others happy alone, and forget about themselves. But when you do that you do a mediocre job of happiness, and it doesn't work. And many times, when you're happy you inspire others to be happy as well. Who cares about legacies? Once you're gone you're gone anyway, it doesn't matter. In the long run no one leaves a legacy longer than a couple years for high school.
And yes, college is freedom. Structure is lost, allowing you grow and change. But first you have to swim a little. Why did you have to post something so nice?! Now I miss you even more . . . soon, though, soon! Many smiles, much love. Be happy.
