I wrote this after listening to a leftover crack song that is extremely anti-god. I used to be a very strong christian and still consider myself one and believe in it, however lately i've really fallen away from it and started enjoying music that goes against everything i believe. For some reason it makes me feel as i described in the poem, good for awhile and then kind of sick afterwards. I was pondering all of this and thought it would be interesting to use my mother as a representation for God, the woman who really took care of me all my life. So the stabbing of my mother is symbolic of me turning my back on god. If this is unclear let me know. Thanks.
