On cold spring nights
I love my legs
still soft from the mornings shave
and girly girl lotion.
Sneakers worn with a velvet skirt
are all bouncy and soft and good;
I take the stairs two at a time,
the spring taking away that 20lbs.
I smile
a sweet boy points to the red velvet
says 'I LOVE that fabric'.
He's not the one,
but he is One;
one of the few who sees.
New lenses show me stars,
only half of what there are
is all I'll ever see...
bounding up the concreat hill
glasses slip down my nose
hoodie falling off one shoulder
clips sliding out of rats-nest hair
my laughter rings out
across the empty quad.
I'm a mess sometimes...
