Dont let the days go by,
without touch,
without much of anything to color the sunset.


We are parted curtains on an empty room,
the breeze ruffling us,
the window open to interpretation.

Dont let any one take our time away,
we were a moment,
bright in morning clarity
just you and me.

We are a garden bed untended,
the pot plants upended,
scattering wild flowers over carpet rose,
and who knows,
perhaps to grow again.

Dont let time take us away.
