Subject: Twice Divided Night revised: Great Cedars Burning

I wasn't completly happy with this so i redid it. Thoughts on the changed would be appreciated. :)

Great Cedars Burning


Alas the crimson sunset has faded over the lonely mountains
Much like a cardinal softly flying west, thoughtlessly abandoning on the cool flow of air
A fire: surrogate mother
Shadows cast upon the surrounding cedars
Dancing apparitions delight
Far away heaven glistens in perfect mockery, mars floating steady like a bloodied eye.


Clouds roll in like gods, angry and exiled to the world of men
Heaven’s face, grinning sly: a fox reveling in my derision
Rain: fiercely falling savior
Circles darkening in the red sands
Past sins muddying the broken earth
My sobs echo and resonate through the hills and valleys: madly flowing waves of flame.


Roses with velvet petals bloom amidst the mists of early morning
Unsung songs escape from my cracked lips, ballads to my flesh of clay
Flower: a newly crafted body
Soft crimson sheets wet with dew
Quivering delicately in the westward wind
Night, like a fire in a great forest, tormenting gives way to growth.
