Subject: It Rained

It rained outside today...
And it was cold.
My joints froze stiff,
And my eyes closed to the fierce wind.

I felt the freezing rain
Slip down my face,
Stinging as the
drops of Poseidon fell to the ground.

But inside myself,
There was this warmth..
Rarely ever received,
But accepted each time it is found.

It began to warm
My chilled finger tips,
As I began to smile
And my eyes opened widely.

The cold can try,
Try to take me in its clutches,
But the warmth
of my soul, will always win.
