this symphony of whispers
crescendos as my heart
increases to this euphonious
tone & tempestuous tempo

piano
as i contemplatively hum
ponderifically before
a crouching conductor

and building
and growing
and billowing to

forte
as droplets of sound
fall from the sopranos
and collect in a contrabass lake

until

this symphony of whispers
can no longer contain my love
and shatters upon the world
