One foot behind the other
the clock turns to the left
your eyes dart around me
and I can feel my heart in your stomach.

Will I live here
locked up by dreams
where sleep is the only escape?

Will I be surrounded by guilt
madness
hope
devastation

who knows what will float before your eyes?

When given darkness
one has to embrace it
before one can really understand the beauty of day . . .

but it can kill you trying-
trying to understand your reflection.
