Subject: P-rocks Remorse

My muse is broken by lack of attention.
In all the days I wandered the flatlands of New York state,
I wouldn't believe there was a time that could be so uninspired.
I sit and conjure visions of time's the have been documented already
Captured...as they happened.
Have I reduced my art to being a sad recollection of 'times gone by?
Nah, I won't chop-off my own head so hastily but I do have to sit up and pay attention.
What is happening now? What is turning me on?

Maybe that's the problem...my life is not the life I used to know.
Maybe I write about my old life because that's the life I need so desperately?
This life is depleted and dry, it's responsible and sobered up.
Not enough of me has carried over from one life to the next and it can't.
So in my best "non-corny/preachy" way I beg you to do everything you want to do NOW!
Once you're like me and they lock the doors of that 9 to 5 cage,
The feeling really hits home..."this is really going to be my life?
And it's nothing like it's supposed to be!"
Savor what you are doing right at this very moment and make something happen.

It's a beautiful world, but you only get a moment to see it.
