The silence in my heart
only matched by

We walked the long mile together,
but you turned off
before I noticed,
I arrived at our destination without you,
without a clue,
as to where you've gone.

The quiet in my heart,
only matched by
the empty linen sheets
you shared with me.

We once swam the same still waters,
but barely a ripple now
to mark our passing
alone,
I stand dripping in the river
still seeking you
still waiting for you
to come to the surface once more.
