Subject: Another howl ending in a bark was heard from far off
In reply to: Ashok 's message, "the ebon' masculine knew not of whom the newcomer was..." on 16:31:26 10/19/02 Sat

The source could not be found and even the keenest eyed wolf could not have spotted the shape from the distance. The howl had come from the other side of the tt but seemed familiar. The bark was harsh and cut short and anger could be sensed in the voice of the young femme. Suddenly a shape darted in and out of the trees and soon was stopped, completely hidden from view, at the newcomers side. Even the thought of the others tensing for a fight made her angered. She softly yapped at the injured male hoping he'd take no offense by the actions of th' others. She had seen the herd of deer heading east, as if chased, towards the tt. Since there had been no later sign of them she figured they'd turned around the tt but didn't know for sure. It was a large herd with many young. In fact she had picked off a young buck along the way but hid the remains off the path she had taken.

She turned to the young male and nudged him gently.* Why didn't you stay? You'll die here with wounds as you have, I'm sure of it.* She said this not caring if all heard or not but then lowered her voice so that the others could not hear what she said.* I am rarely in the open around here but don't follow me around until you're better. If you do you could end dead. For one the paths are harder than the one I took from there to here but the paths are cold an' winter is setting in.* She didn't want to hurt his feelings as she said this but knew it to be true.* Avoid the males for the most part, especially Ashok. We aren't exactly what you'd call friends and that is why I am going to say this to you. In my mind he seems just ignorent(sp). I've been here since well, THEY took the pack. I don't know how I survived the extreme cold of the peak without my mother alive but I guess it wasn't impossible.* She then quieted she knew the others could not have heard her last words for even she barely did but she hoped that he knew what she was saying and heard it.
