A proud gleam shown in his eyes though it was faded, it was there, deep within... "Thank you, Malek..." He lowered his head and began to walk away. He turned and looked at Ice, not needing words to show his appreciation of the stallion. Ice would have to help Malek now for a while...

He walked on, back down to the pond where he always went. Right under the big weeping willow, the long, sweeping branches shielded him from the realness of the world beyond. He just didn't want to face the realities of the world...not yet anyways...
