Subject: Wembley in 1999 (Scotty's boots story)

Got to Wembley with my Dad having heard bragging of an English win (and gradslam) for weeks (since I live in London). I sat down with my big Welsh flag to which a posh English bloke behind me announed loudly "He won't have much of a chance a wave that will he". We kept touch with England throughout the first half and I was constantly standing on my seat waving my flag.

Second half - Howarth's try. Nearing the end of the game English behind me were winding me up. Scotty's try !!!!!! Yeeeessss!!! Jumped up on my seat waved my flag so much I broke the flag pole, fell off my seat onto one of the Enlish blokes and bust my mobile phone (and his jaw - with my elbow).

After the game I met an English girl and chanted Wales, Wales as I gave her one !!!! To remind me of one of the best days of my life I bought Scotty's boots in an auction (£1000 - which I think is a bargain). I now have them signed with a certificate in a glass case at home.
