Talked to Ted Trivigno yesterday.

I am sure after this there will be a lot more people "readyforlitigation". There has already been suits filed according to some other boards.

It is new, and is in the tournament section of the 2004 rule book.

Once a player plays in their first tournament (all star) game they can no longer play in another organization. The penalty is forfiet by the players team. This does not apply to regular season.

Coaches may not coach regular season or all stars and be involved with another organization. Same penalty.

IMO, LL just shot themselves in the foot. This brings up so many issues and questions I don't even know where to start. Privacy issues are just the tip of the iceburg.

I watched LL States last year in every age group. Almost every team, if not every team, had TB players on it. Some entire teams. The play had also improved greatly, in large part because of this. These players will be hurt by this rule.
They done this because they felt it was "detrimental to the organization". It's just a shame that LL has put the organization above the needs of the kids.

For those envolved with LL, have fun and good luck. Please do not embarrass the kids when demanding that forfiet.
