Even a simple thing like picking up trash, as I do, my neighbors agree the road looks a mess. But do you see anyone of them hauling a bag and picking up trash? No! It's somebody else's job. Me. The Town or whoever. Another example shows up in today's news. The EU is asking the Germans to slow it down on the autobahn in oder to reduce emissions. The response has been like you're asking them to cut off their right arm!! So it would seem that while we have a concern about the state of the environment and potential disaster, few seem willing to take any action upon themselves. And that includes me as I am no shining example. We'll just flounder along like we usually do until something drastic makes us change our habits.
