And you think landscape doesn't alter the weather? A rain forest has the same effect on the sky above it that a desert does? We've shown that to not be true.

The Salton Sea has dramatically affected the weather in the central valley. Rabbits denuded many parts of Australia; that led to massive droughts as the land lost its ability to hold water.

The days of pretending that nothing affects anything else are past. We know now that we're part of the system that is our climate; we both benefit from it and affect it.
