Food prices are very high here also. I haven't shopped at regular markets for quite a long time but I do so every once in awhile. One place had milk @ two gallons for $4.59 a few weeks ago, now it is two gallons for $6.59 and that is one of the least expensive ways to buy it. The closest market to is over $4 a gallon. A lot of things have doubled in cost, like orange juice and some vegetables. I noticed that some churches have set up monthly "free food" at parks here and they always have lots of people stop for it. Our assistance programs frequently run out of resources.
