It is hard to point a finger at China when we in the USA are the major pollutors and consumers on the planet. Moreover, our Middle East invasion and continues sabre rattling does not put us on the list of good guys.

I talked to a friend from Napal about China's occupation of Tibet. He said that there are good points and bad points. The good point is that it brings a higher standard of living and some degree of wealth to the country. It also brings political stability. The bad point is that not everyone is happy with the way things are changing. So...

Perhaps it is simply progress?

But to boycotte China for hosting an international event is not realistic when we here in the USA is guilty of similar crimes.
