OTher than the time my husband took a check from the military we have never had our hands out for a hand out and wages and ss can hardly be called a hand out anyway . We have done for our own even my parents so they would not be on the public dole. so your blanket statement all is not true . Plus i know many rep and dems who have gone to school on government loans and money. In fact about half and half .
