You are assuming that the flight is nonstop point to point and the plane is full. And then what are you going to do for wheels when you get there. Plus you have to have a place to live for the winter. I already have it with the MH.
BTW, the plane is a much larger carbon emiter. You do care about the environment don't you....or are you only worried that some people are enjoying their lives while yours is miserable.
