So the gov't appropriated the money to help them shore up their depts ( hire more people because of 911 etc and local police do get involved with protecting against terrorists) some local stupes chose to use their money in order to generate income by using cameras at intersetions etc . The local people should be up in arms over it not being used what it was meant for and if its not being used to help the local police protect the nation then it should be recinded in the areas that have not put it to proper use. This was the rep congress and they gave as much money to places such as wyoming as they did to states that have to protect a long coast line or border other countries it was ludicrous and stupid. I do agree with you about pork in most cases if it only benifits a few it should be done away with . or let the states dig up the money if its just for a few in their state. btw where are all your buddies on obstructionist congress thats all we heard from the neo cons when it came to ultra conservative judges that bush appointed and the dems thought they were far to far to the right . Now its a matter of saving lives with the war and the rep are being total obstructionist . Oh i forgot most wingies evidently rejoice in death and destruction as long as their hides are safe.
