You think i would have taken such a low paying job if it wasn't for the benefit package? Per my contract they have to pay until medicare kicks in. It's what happens after 10 years of service. The tax payers are getting their monies worth. Without those benefits there wouldn't be to many qualified people to run the school system. Maybe some people have to just go and hope they get a job, but most of us negotiate for employment and are willing to walk away if we don't like the deal. You were saying?
