Date Posted: 14:00:46 05/23/07 Wed In reply to: Bev 's message, "The house just passed a bill to make gas goudging illegal" on 12:54:20 05/23/07 Wed Gasoline prices are set by traders on the New York Merc. No investigation has ever shown price fixing by oil companies and this time will be no different. This is all just a show by the Dems who are getting lots of heat to do something. This bill is not something...it is nothing, a political ploy. What is needed is more refineries, but they are only being built in China. there is zero chance of any big oil company building a new refinery here in the US. They would never be able to get the permits to build one. And it would take around 15 years before construction could start even if they could get the permits. We need those Dems in Congress to get off their dead asses and get some kind of plan to get these prices to drop back. But they are too busy trying to run off minor administration appointees to handle stuff like the war, energy prices, the deficit and other big item stuff. >it will go to the senate however bush says he will >veto the bill if it comes to his desk .
