The oil companyies use an economic model that influences the prices of many other commodities. Their economic influence does create economic injustice because the model is devoid of humanitian or environmental responsibility. So when you say help yourself or lift yourself up using this method, anyone with concerns about more than thier bank account are pretty much reviled by your suggestion.

You see you cannot cause the level of environmental damage and social injustice around the world and expect a check to cover the harm that is created.
