It's not what kind of vehicle you own but how much you drive it. I'm always amused by people that look at my motorhome and ask what kind of gas mileage it gets. These same people use much more fuel than I do in a years time as I only drive the MH from point A to point B and then park it for long periods of time and then living in it using zero fuel and very little other energy. That is why I've always harped on this board that if we in this Country were really serious about saving energy(and not just trying to make a political point) we could ban drive-ups and that would IMMEDIATLY save more energy than all the other hairbrained schemes that are trotted out. In fact, just getting traffic lights in sync would probably do the same. Instead, politicians and various political and activist groups run around like chickens with their heads cut off blowing smoke out of their you know whats. The result.....nothing happens. > Before i married, i enjoyed several hiking trips to >colorado and california by bus, which uses >significantly less fuel the jet travel, and also >experienced many cities and people in between.
