My name is Zebon and I have recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. A few weeks ago during eid I visited my village and one evening I went for a long walk, during this time it rained and I became very tired as I was walking for 3-4 hours. The next morning I had high fever and sore throat, commonly I thought I had caught flu, however 5 days later I started to get joint pain in my hand then about three days after the pain started I woke up one morning and couldn't open my hand properly. I visited the local doctor and he diagnosed me with RA. With medication my pain was better. Once I returned to islamabad I saw a rheumatologist, he again said I have RA. My test results shows I have an infection but my RA factor is negative. My rheumatologist says I will probably be taking medication all my life. It is hard for me to believe this, I believe my immune system can be corrected and my illness all started when I caught the. I would be most grateful if you could advice me accordingly, I am able to attend your clinic.

Thank you for taking the time to read my email

Zebon
