Without knowing what the name is of your chemical fixative, I can't give you any advice on how to use it. What you should do is go back to your supplier and ask him or her for the exact chemical name (ask for the INCI name) of what they sold you. If they can' t tell you you should consider switching to an alternative so that you can have control over what you are using in your products.

DPG stands for Dipropylene Glycol. It is used as a solvent (to dissolve fragrance or essential oils in) or an an ingredient in some perfume bases.
