Well, yeah, but it doesn't seem to be saying anything new. String theory has become socially acceptable, but the hunt for evidence to support it hasn't really made much progress. Theoretical physicists seem to like it because it is "elegant". Even so, none of the theoretical work has tied the microuniverse to the macrouniverse in any usable way so far. The only comfort I can draw from quantum theory is the fact that it doesn't demand that time flow in only one direction, making time travel theoretically possible. People who read science fiction have a "yeah, yeah" attitude about any method the author employs to make use of FTL or time travel, so it's no big deal for our story line. Of course, since we've already invoked magick in the story, we're compounding the problem a little, but if it's a good tale, readers will overlook that, too.
