Funny. I've been saying that particular pledge since along about 1955, that I can remember. Nobody took offense.

The fact that the dope who took it on took it on in the name of a daughter who had no trouble saying the pledge is a problem. We live in a very litigeous society, people would sue about anything.

I also know, that "God" was invoked several times during the writing of the Constitution. (If you read "Miracle in Philadelphia" you'll know it too.

The Constitution does not say that you can't speak about God, (First Amendment, free speech and all). The Constitution only says that the Government can't institute a state religion, in so many words. It doesn't ever say that it will prohibit religion, it says it can't set up a religion that you are forced to follow. That is what they tried to get away from in England.

The guy is a phony. The suit is phony. I'm getting really tired of people wasting the court's time. Although, that funny court in California found it to be entertaining.

One more reason for California to shake off.
