I have no quarrel with those who are content with their beliefs, and don't denigrate others for believing differently. Those who are sure they have the final answers, though, irritate me beyond bearing.

Viewed as philosophy, most religions have the same kernels of truth, but usually encrust that truth with baggage that pretends to be essential to the believer's spiritual well-being. Philosophically, I tend to utilitarian views of morals and ethics as the most reliable guide to peace and contentment.
