Yep, somebody might get to the food. Of course, if they did, a few people would be casualties before we would zero in. Like the anthrax, a few people got zapped, but I dispute the "wide spread panic" thing.

As unreasonable as it is, this new thing really hasn't dramatically increased anybody's chances of getting hurt. I know the Republicans don't like the idea -- I guess because so many of their votes come from scared people, but we are huge and we are diversified. There is no one or two targets that can make a substantial difference. I think, in some ways, we are more a threat to us than they are!

Of course, the "leadership" is too busy making political hay and posturing to seriously answer concerns. If they did at all, I would expect them to say that some of us might get hurt or even killed, but that the idiots on the other side simply can't mount a credible attack. We remain more at risk from bad drivers, illness, and stupidity than from some self styled "terrorist."

That's what I think they might say, but they won't.
