Oil is control... the masses can be controlled through the manipulation of oil.... before oil it was sugar.... whoever controlled the sugar controlled the masses..
It's not that an alternative cannot be found for oil... it's more a case of the technology being supressed so that a few can remain in control...
Anyone applying for a patent on a new energy scource would have it stopped immediately... the military would step in and say it threatens national security and you are now bound to a vow of silence...

There is only one way to get a new energy scource to the people, and that is to use the internet to get the info out... and not to try make any money...
The minute you try making money... the government screws you for not having a valid patent... the minute you try getting a patent the government ( via military ) screws you with national security....
I think we're screwed.... :-) :-)
