Some do make good points for discussion, although the position I understood you to take didn't require a bunch of mealy-mouthed stipulations. Real people have real health care needs which are not being adequateky addressed. I don't know where there is controversy.

Another point, the religious people who support Bush should be able to square their beliefs with their political choices (a major point you took), and they didn't and they don't. They are issue driven, giving away their vote to somebody who is dumber than dirt, but 0who won't have a sexual encounter and who will outlaw abortion and they don't care about the other million issues before us.

The thought of your killing yourself never crossed my mind and I don't want it to. I hope you aren't even remotely serious! I'll tell you for certain, grownups (and you're a grownup) choose their fights and concerns. If it isn't fun or if it is too upsetting, then back away from it! You don't have to remain engaged and there are still blue skies, bluebirds, and beautiful things.

You make a definite and unique contribution, but it shouldn't be something to bring you down or upset you. You and Grumpy both have unique perspectives. In the mind department, you guys are blessed.
