Spending some time on another board, partly stirring up the right and partly just looking around.

I think Grumpy should start sending stuff to the papers. He has a knack for focusing on a specific part of a specific issue and he is good at explaining why it is an issue. The psychology is easy enough and I think papers might be looking for reasonably alternate views to the abundant loonies on the right.

I think there are more "conservative" (a meaningless term) because it is easier to deal with doom and gloom than to identify possibilities. I think Grumpy is good at that.

I also think other posts should find their way to the papers and I'll start saying so. Everyone on this board has made good arguments and they should be heard.

I'll not pass up an opportunity to point out to the Bush voters that they have been played for fools. The people with money don't care and they are involved at a different level, but without the right and some self styled conservatives, the republicans can't win. It took very little, if you remember to turn the "Contract With America" into the "Contract on America" and the party imploded.

On the R&E board, I explained why Bush's administration is bordering on fascism. They won't agree, but they can't help but think about it.
