Let's look at that list. Actually, I have never summarized the issues like that and I think yours is a good approach.

Bush -- to me, the main issue is that he isn't really doing the job he was elected to do. The election issue is a done thing -- water under the bridge and not worth more discussion, but a true leader would have attempted some sort of reconciliation; would have said something to ensure those who didn't vote for him that he will not disappoint them; that he'll do the job. He didn't.

At issue: Is a president put in place to lead the congregation as in a church or does he take the office to serve the country and its interests? If the latter, then his personality should become transparent. Think of doctors you have known; do they put everything in a "me" context or do they focus on you. Bush is all about "me" and he spends alot of time and energy demonstrating the wonder that is he.

If you work your way down the points you made, each one can be expanded upon and defended as issues and concerns.

I'm also thinking that you should send letters to the editor -- not to letters to the editor. It is nice to see yourself in print, but they have limits on how many they'll accept, and there are none on how many you can write to influence the paper's direction. You will see more and more print against the administration and Bush, so start influencing the paper now.

A simple one paragraph would work: "Explain to your readers how it is that Bush can assume the office of the presidency and not do the job it requires. We don't need to be led, we need our interests managed and managed as we want them managed."

This might be a start!
