Thanks, Donk,

That's very nice of you, I have found myself barely able to form a coherent response to anything before something else comes up (I may be paraphrasing Grump). I just don't do well with multiple boards. You know me, the Washboard is home. I hope EJ and others agree with you, because I can feel a lot of posts coming on.

I' like to have discussions on, Liberty, Election Reform, Tax Reform, Nader. In fact, I would like to make a motion that we pick subjects of the day or week or hour or whatever. I for one would like to be armed with informed opinion that I can take to my new life of political activism. Not that I'm planning to March in protests, because only the shell of that right still exists. But, this idea of a letter writing campaign is pretty exciting to think of. I never thought of a letter to the Editor, or a letter to "Letters to the Editor", as something that you would put careful thought into. Just seemed to me to be a bunch of either, prefab or gut reaction commentary. I certainly wouldn't have thought I'd ever feel compelled to carefully present a case on as many political topics as I could. There is not much representation of dissenting views in the local paper. It's a very Republican State. So, it must be up to me (depending on my luck at sucking the brains from all Washboard posters) to straighten them out. :)

Power to the person
