I wrote a brief letter to the editor this morning excoriating our legislature for presuming to overturn the will of the people, as expressed in four successive elections on this subject. The term limits were imposed by an initiative voted on by the citizens of this state, but the legislature decided the citizens didn't know what they were doing, and that they knew better. Without reference to whether term limits is a good idea or a bad idea, it seems rather shocking to have our representatives overturn the express will of the people. The Governor vetoed the repeal, but the legislature overrode his veto.
