Mr. Covaleskie did a fine job of presenting the crux of American society.

All cultures are shaped by mores and religion. Ours has the additional influence of television and a corporate owned news media. Our school systems are becoming more federally controlled every year.

What we now have is a lot of kids on drugs (better living through chemistry) to help them to be "normal" and productive. "Abnormal" types are jailed or relegated to the streets.

Individuallity is encourged as long it fits the norm.

I read an article about the new generation of exceptionally smart children. Super intellegent from birth, the existence of these children raise the question of a possible next evolution of mankind. The article states that the genes of these children are just slightly different than that of ordinary children. I was struck by that remark. Why should anyone worry about cloning when gene alteration would be so much simplier. It could be done quietly behind the scenes. Raised in the "proper" envirnment, these could be the leaders of the world one day.
