The devil is always lurking - he is waiting for any opportunity to turn our attention away from God. Sometimes he uses fear, self-doubt, low self esteem, negative outlooks, worry, stress and feelings of not being "good enough". Remember he doesn't want us going to church, time out, praying, worshipping, singing, helping with retreats - he doesn't want us to think about and love our Glorious, Wonderful, Almighty Lord. Become aware of these things and know that when you feel these things, that that is the devil trying to bring you away from God. Tell him to "be gone", tell him he has "no hold over you" - that you love God with all your heart and soul. Say the following prayer anytime you feel or experience these things - it'll keep him away.
Prayer to St. Michael The Archangel
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle,
be our defense against the wickedness
and snares of the devil;
may God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the divine power,
thrust into hell Satan
and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Please pray daily for Fr. Wayne, the core team, and all the life teen members in Erath. Ask God to keep us strong and to keep temptation away from us.
