Subject: Supergran Theme Tune

In the Supergran theme tune they mention Superman, Iceman, Spiderman, Batman and Robin. These are fair enough because all these people can be considered Super Heroes, ok so Batman and Robin do not technicially have superpowers but the gadgets and shit they have more than make up for that. However the song goes onto mention B.A. Baracus. Well correct me if I am wrong but B.A. does not have any superpowers whatsoever. He may be a tough guy with a funky mohawk who can make cabbage launching bazookas out of chewing gum wrappers and old tryes but that does not qualify him as a superhero. Therefore why the hell is he mentioned in the song in the first place?
If Supergran can beat Superman etc then naturally she will be able to beat a mere mortal even if he is a solider of fortune on the run from the government for a crime he did not commit.
This is lazy lyric writing at its worst. Just imagine if an alien with major league kick ass powers heard this song and thought "Oh that B.A. Baracus he sounds a bit tough and must be a worthy opponent for me to have a fight with" Before we know it B.A. is in hospital in a coma and it is all the fault of some sloppy song writer.

Eh, I think you'll find BA did possess superpowers. How could a mere mortal possibly carry round all that
ghetto-fabulous skin-greening jewellery if they did not possess superior neck-strength and extra-thick Vanilla Ice type special skin? And he also had a kryptonite-style achilles heel as you would never find him "gettin' in no airplane". However, if that is the criteria for superherodom then Dennis Bergkamp would have to be one too. Arse, I have blown my own argument out of the water. Still, Scunner Campbell was well scary. I reckon he could have Lex Luthor in a fight. Discuss.

I saw a Super Gran book the other day in a local shop.
Great cultural introduction I think.

I must admit I remember bugger all about it. As a kid I thought a Granny with Super Powers was a naff Idea. I was watching Battle of the Planets instead.

And Hanibal Smith is dead these days.
Why go on?
